The Program Director will supervise the MERL Manager, Senior Program Officer (SPO), and Media & Community Engagement Manager and all the technical teams and lead the efficient and effective coordination for planning, implementation and reporting for FilmAid’s multiple donor funded communications projects and programs.
Ensure that the direction of the organization follows CMA’s vision and stays within its mandate and purpose, and to provide leadership and overall management of CMA, in fulfillment of the overall goal of CMA’s Vision and Mission.
The Program Director will provide direct communication, coordination, and oversight for field operations under the supervision of the program COP and DCOP.
The Program Director secures and coordinates cooperation with and support from US Government, MoH/GoK, the Kenya Ministry of State for Defense (MOSD), Mombasa County, officials and in-country agencies as it relates to the need and goals of care and treatment and research activities supported in by HJF Medical Research International, Inc. (HJFMRI).
The successful candidate will lead the project management team, ensure responsiveness to the donor and other stakeholders, provide high-level oversight in ensuring the project resources are allocated and used effectively and in a manner that makes maximum contribution to project objectives.
The Program Director for HP+ Kenya, based in Nairobi, is responsible for the overall technical and administrative management and implementation of the project in Kenya and will be the senior in-country project representative with overall responsibility for supervising project staff, and managing relations with partners and sub-contractors, both international and local, and achieving the set results.
7 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience, including experience in programme management, including large multi-sectoral projects, designing and appraising proposals and actively liaising with relevant and potential project partners.
The Program Director is responsible for the overall strategy and delivery of the YES! program across five countries in Africa.
