SECURITY WARDENS [3], CPSB –15 TWENTY (20) POSTS V/NO. 61/2020
Salary Scale: Ksh. 14,610 x 510 – 15,120 x 550 – 15,670 x 580 – 16,250 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
Before deployment, direct entrants will undergo three (3) months initial training as Security Warden III and on successful completion of their training, duties and responsibilities will involve patrol and/or guard of access points; detention of unauthorized persons and vehicles from entering premises and/or protected areas; and also be able to control crowds and collect information and report on matter of security interest.
Requirements for Appointment
This is the entry grade for civilian security warden cadre.
For direct appointment:
(i) Candidates must be in possession of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary
Education mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent Promotion:
(i) Members of subordinate staff deployed as Watchmen may be appointed to
this grade provided they have served in JG ‘A’ to JG ‘C’ for minimum period
of seven (7) years and have shown merit and ability as reflected in work
performance.
(ii) Have a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal
Investigations.
