Position Objective
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the finance and procurement department to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the financial systems at CPHD. The position holder will provide comprehensive financial management support to CPHD that includes: monitoring of funding; production of regular management accounts and reports; management of income and expenditure; maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
The position holder is required to possess good drafting skills and to be numerate in handling all aspects of the organizations finance. He/She will have experience in maintaining effective and efficient financial procedures and experience of financial administration and bookkeeping, including payroll and display proficiency in QuickBooks or other financial software products.
Qualification and Skills
A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, or business studies or management with specialization in finance or accounting. �
CPA II certification will be an added advantage.
At least 3 years’ experience of working in finance in an NGO or INGO. �
Sound knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
Excellent skills of operating Microsoft word and excel spreadsheet. �
Experience in using accounting software specially, QuickBooks. �
Experience in working on USAID, EU and DFID-funded projects is an advantage �
