SUMMARY
To support the Accountants in ensuring that financial and accounting operations of the BVC Geothermal Limited Field Office are in strict compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations. Also strive to ensure efficient and accountable use of funds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Receiving invoices in the field for stock items and free format invoices for non-stock items.
• Verifying that all the suppliers’ documents are properly attached to the invoices and ensuring that the relevant signatories have approved the documents accordingly.
• Assists in collection and review of Field Expense Reports, ensuring the validity and accuracy of all submitted expenses.
• Processing invoices into the system and updating the relevant ledgers.
• Apportioning cost to the relevant ledger accounts and cost centre.
• Releasing payment for both suppliers and casuals.
• Ensuring that suppliers are paid according to the agreed credit terms.
• Following up and resolving outstanding issues on creditor’s accounts.
• Preparing suppliers listing on monthly basis and reconciling it to the general ledger.
• Filing the invoices and other documents received accordingly.
• Monitoring the Goods received Notes (GRNs) and resolving the pending GRN issues.
• Ensuring all procedures and processes are adhered to in relation to suppliers.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• ACCA / CPA Part 2.
• Business degree or equivalent, added advantage.
• 2-3 years’ progressive working experience in accounting.
• Have cost accounting, financial and management accounting skills
• Have a working knowledge of either QuickBooks, Sage Pastel or an ERP System
• People management skills is desirable
• Very proficient in Microsoft office
• Able to work cohesively in a team
• Able to work well under pressure
• Able to focus on priorities remaining courteous and calm at all times
