Greet and escort customers to their tables Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)Inform customers about the day’s specials Offer menu recommendations upon request Up-sell additional products when appropriate Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area Provide excellent customer service to guests Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous sales experience is a plus but not necessary Personal Attribute Excellent presentation skills Team Player Strong organisational and multitasking skills Ability to work well under pressure Flexibility to work in shifts, on weekends and public holidays Excellent Communication skills Ability to stand for long periods of time Positive attitude, courteous and pleasant nature How to Apply Qualified candidates should send a cover letter and a detailed CV including names and addresses of three referees, a working e-mail address and daytime telephone contacts to hr@artcaffe.co.ke.
