We are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for our Joint Venture CBRE Excellerate located at our offices in Johannesburg to be responsible for the finance function with operations across 35 countries across the Middle East & Africa (including South Africa, Mauritius, Sub Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East – approximately 28 legal entities).

This role will oversee the finance function and is expected to significantly contribute to the achievement of the growth plan through the setting and delivery of key initiatives, active leadership of people and processes, a high level of customer interaction and engagement and governance of the Company’s financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Job Description

The successful candidate will support the Facilities Manager in providing exceptional customer service and be responsible for the delivery of Site Security Services and other FM related roles.
 
Role Summary: 

·         Conduct frequent risk assessment & mitigate the identified risks and share reports on a frequent basis

·         Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events

·         Develop and implement security SOPs, protocols and procedures

·         Provision of information to staff, management, visitors, and contractors on issues related to security, risks, policies and systems.

·         Conduct frequent reviews of standard operating procedures (SOP) as required.

·         Ensure exceptional service delivery and provide excellent customer experience to Tetra Pak employees

·         Supervise guards in line with SLA, SOPs and the working contract.

·         Coordinate with the security service provider to determine the necessary trainings for guards including the SOPs and key security practises.

·         Maintain delivery of site FM services in line with specified contract defined SLA/ KPIs and CBRE policies

·         Train and induct fire marshal

·         Carry out weekly fire engine test as recommended by the client GAPS.

·         Enforce client site safety and security policies.

·         Provide accurate and timely reports including but not limited to the weekly security system status update, reports for management on security status, etc

·         Assist and deliver various projects as agreed with the site Manager and/or local client

·         Seek opportunities to improve service delivery and cost-effective ways of working

·         Ensure that the facility is fully compliant with all applicable safety and security regulations both local and international standards

·         Recording, investigation and review of security incident reports and breaches.  

·         Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms

·         Any other role to be assigned by the site manager on a need basis

Experience Required: 

·         Proven experience as security manager or similar position

·         Strong proven experience in facilities management

·         Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures

·         Good knowledge of Security and facilities management SLAs and KPIs

·         Experience in dealing with suppliers/ contractors

·         Basic finance knowledge and understanding of budgeting

·         IT literate – Microsoft packages    

·         Experience in reporting and emergency response planning

·         Good understanding of FM service contracts and negotiations

·         Strong communicator with confident oral and written skills

·         Good administration skills with an eye for detail

·         Strong customer service ethic, team player mind-set and can-do approach with            willingness to ‘muck in’ when required

·         Ability to work to pressured deadlines and take on challenges when required

·         Financially aware and understand cost controls in area of responsibility

·         Ability to prioritise and identify actions necessary to complete tasks to deliver desired outcomes within allotted timeframes

·         Ability to build excellent supplier relation

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

·         Committed, reliable and honest

·         National High Diploma or equivalent
