Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) http://www.impact-rdo.org is a registered Kenyan NGO with main office in Kisumu and regional offices in six counties of Kenya. IRDO’s principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate public health research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. We are seeking to fill the following key positions for an anticipated USAID/Kenya Kenya Health Partnerships for Quality Services (KHPQS) – OVC & DREAMS Program. The purpose of the KHPQS is to increase use of quality county-led health and social services in select counties namely: Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega, Kisumu, Siaya (Cluster 10); and Homa Bay, Kisii, Migori (Cluster 11) of Kenya.
Hiring for this position will be contingent upon IRDO securing funding from USAID for this program and USAID’s approval of the candidate for this position.
Position: Chief of Party (COP)
Reporting To: Director/CEO
Location: Based in one of the counties under Cluster 10 or 11
Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall management and operations of the project
Key Responsibilities:
- Key liaison with USAID, GoK institutions and senior national and county level government officials.
- S/he supervise project implementation and ensures the project meets stated goals and reporting requirements.
- Take leadership role in coordination among USAID and key stakeholders and other implementing partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of experience in senior role leading a complex technical service delivery program of similar scope and dollar value.
- A master’s degree in social science, public health, medicine, management, business administration or related field.
- Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in partnership building, especially with government representatives, donors, the private sector and local community organizations.
- Experience holding senior positions in HIV programming in Kenya is an added advantage.
- Must be Kenyan citizen
