JOB TITLE: SURVEY ASSISTANT

DIRECTORATE: Technical Services

REPORTING TO: Survey Officer/ Technician
SUPERVISES: None
NO OF POSITIONS: 7No
BROAD FUNCTION
The Survey Assistant will work in close liaison with the Survey Officer/Technician in undertaking complex field surveys for geospatial data acquisition and ensure timely processing and production of plans from the collected field data.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertake cadastral survey for boundary establishment and resolution of boundary disputes.
Setting out engineering projects undertaken by the Company.
Drafting both longitudinal and cross sectional profiles from the collected field data.
Conducting geodetic surveying on the Company dams for dam safety monitoring.
Acquiring, collecting and gathering geo-spatial data for updating the Company GIS.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, Geospatial Information Science or any other related field from a recognized institution.
EXPERIENCE
Have a work experience of at least 2 years in similar work environment
SKILLS
Good communications and interpersonal skills
