Animal Health Assistant II (J/G CPSB 12)
NUMBER OF VACANCIES: TWENTY FIVE (25)
TERMS OF SERVICE:CONTRACT
SALARY: Kshs. 22,270×1,040-23,310×1,070-24,380×1,090-25,470×1,110-
26,580×1,120-27,700×1,150-28,850×1,170-30,020p.m
Duties and Responsibilities
Carrying out simple treatment of animals; Participating in disease search and reporting; Demonstrating
on milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting;
Carrying out vaccination; Undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de- worming, disbudding, docking,
de-beaking and hoof trimming; and Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-
a) Have a Certificate lasting not less than two (2) years in any of the following disciplines: Animal
Health or Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution;
b) Be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board;
c) Have a Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
d) Meet the requirements of Articles 10, 232 and Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
