Assistant Deputy Chief Legal Officer (Litigation), (CPSB 05)
SALARY: Ksh. 87,360×3,190-90,550×4,490-95,040×4,860-99,900×5,010-104,910×5,240-
110,150×5,500-115,650 X5,780-121,430p.m
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: – Undertaking research on assigned legal issues; analyzing research data and compiling reports; preparing preliminary legal
documents/instruments; preparing legal opinions; coordinating stakeholder consultations;
undertaking law review; ensuring compliance with regional and international instruments;
ensuring compliance with principles and values of good governance, human rights,transparency,accountability,e4thics and integrity; and advising the county on legal policy
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have;
i) Bachelor of laws (LL. B) degree from a recognized university;
ii) Postgraduate Diploma in legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education;
iii) Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with at least 3 years standing;
iv) Proficiency in computer applications;
v) Compliance with the requirements of chapter 6 of the constitution;
vi) Have demonstrated high degree of professional competence and managerial capability;
vii) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result
