Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Section 59 of the County Governments Act 2012 outlines the functions of the CPSB among them being “appoint persons to hold or act in offices of the County Public Service including in the Boards of cities and urban areas within the County and to confirm appointments”.
The Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board wishes to Externally advertise the following Seventy-three (73) positions in various cadres in the Department of Health Services and Sanitation on Various Terms as
listed:
THREE (3) YEARS CONTRACT TERMS
Registered Nurse [1] – Theatre, Job Group “K” – Two (2) Posts
Requirements for appointment:
• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Be a holder of a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Must have a Higher Diploma in Theatre Nursing;
• Be registered by Nursing Council of Kenya as a Theatre Nurse;
• Possess a valid Practicing License from Nursing Council of Kenya as a Theatre Nurse;
• Must be computer literate;
Duties and responsibilities:
The Theatre Nurse shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:
• Offering Theatre Care Nursing Services depending on the level of care deployed;
• Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues;
• Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
• Coaching and mentoring students on attachment;
• Collecting and compiling data for research on Theatre Nursing services issues.
• Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
