Finance & Admin Manager
Job Description
As the Finance & Admin Manager you will be instrumental in maintaining the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency by ensuring that financial processes administrative functions and compliance measures align with both internal and external standards. You will lead the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while overseeing administrative operations to support business continuity
Budgeting
-
Budget preparation and reviewing with the departmental heads.
-
Consolidation and presentation of the budgets.
-
Follow-up on budget approval & adoption.
Management Reporting
-
Reviewing month-end closure procedures for reporting.
-
Timely preparation of monthly management reports including P&L, CF& BS with supporting schedules.

Preparation of other reports such as customer aging, vendor balances, power reports, and any ad hoc reports
-
Discuss monthly performance with the country manager.

Preparation of investor presentations.
Statutory Audits
-
Coordination with the auditors on the audit plans and providing support documentation for the audit fieldwork.

Preparation and discussion of the draft financials together with proposed adjustments

Discussing and responding to management letter
-
Implementation of management letter recommendations
-
Coordinating tax compliance.
-
Follow-up on directors’ sign-off on the statutory reports.
Financial Accounting
-
Discussing payment plans for AR overdue invoices and escalating overdue them to sales & legal departments.

Planning of AP payments.
-
Management of the Fixed assets register and ensuring the depreciation runs are done monthly.

Ensuring all assets are covered under the company’s insurance cover.

Ensuring bank reconciliations are completed and approved.
Tax Administration
-
Performing tax compliance reviews.
-
Reporting on areas of tax optimization.
Treasury Management
-
Monitoring and reporting cash balances.
-
Preparing cash flow forecasts.
-
Preparing draw-down requests.
-
Reviewing payment schedule.
-
Evaluating and recommending short-term cash investments for excesses.
Payroll Processing
-
Liaising with the HR team for any employee payroll updates.
-
Preparation of the payroll schedule.
-
Release of payslips.
-
Annual issuance of p9 forms.
-
Ensuring statutory deductions are paid on time.
Compliance & Internal Control
-
Ensure the company is in full compliance with tax, regulatory & legal requirements
-
Participation in the preparation, reviews, and updating of department manuals, policies, and procedures.
Training
-
Training of new employees
-
Preparing annual training schedules for internal & external training.
Additional Responsibilities
-
Perform any additional duties assigned by your Line Manager.

Assist in any other activities that may be required to help your colleagues from time-to-time.
Requirements of a Finance & Admin Manager
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
-
Professional certification such as CPA K or ACCA is preferred.
-
An MBA in Finance or Business Administration is an added advantage.
-
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in the data centre, telecommunications, or technology sectors.
-
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within a fast-paced business.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial software.

Knowledge of data centre financial operations, including CAPEX, OPEX, cost control, and asset management.

Familiarity with local tax laws, corporate governance regulations, and compliance frameworks.

Strong experience in financial compliance, including tax regulations, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
