Start by creating a plan of action, write down the type of job you are looking for the job title, industry and preferred profession, (make sure this aligns with your long term career goals).

Identify the most suitable location and hours of work, the minimum acceptable salary range that will be adequate and satisfactory for you. If changing jobs make sure to write down the reason you are changing jobs and how the new job will solve that problem.

Make a job search schedule or timetable, ensure that you apply for at least one job a day or every other day. Do not apply for too many and get overwhelmed, use the 75% qualified for a job rule to choose which jobs to apply for.

Research the company and the job you are applying for, see what others are saying about working there, salary range etc, LinkedIn is good for this, connect with people that work for that organization.

Consider using a program like we have Apply for Me https://careerassociated.com/apply-for-me/  let the professionals work with you and keep you motivated.

Lastly don’t give up, read each job application instruction, like you would read a difficult math question in an exam, then apply.

Check your email and spam folder every day and ensure your contact details are correct. Don’t be afraid to send a follow up email after a reasonable period has elapsed after the application deadline.
