Greases and Lubricants Sales Representative

Our client in the recycling industry is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Greases and Lubricants Sales Representative to promote and sell recycled and sustainably produced greases and lubricants. The role focuses on expanding market share, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth within industrial, automotive, manufacturing, and machinery sectors. This job is located in Thika.

Job Purpose

The Greases and Lubricants Sales Representative will be expected to drive sales revenue by selling industrial/automotive lubricants and greases by identifying new business leads, and maintaining client relationships. Key duties include technical product consulting, negotiating contracts, and meeting sales targets within commercial, manufacturing, or automotive sectors.

Core Responsibilities as Greases and Lubricants Sales Representative 

  • Generating leads, conducting cold calls, and acquiring new B2B clients in sectors such as transportation, manufacturing, and construction.
  • Advising clients on lubricant and greases selection, viscosity grades, OEM specifications, and performance benefits.
  • Managing key accounts, conduct site visits, and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets, preparing quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing accounts receivable.
  • Collecting customer feedback and share insights with production and technical teams.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and industry trends, offering insights to improving marketing and sales strategies.
  • Tracking sales activities and pipelines using the appropriate software.
  • Conducting product presentations, technical demonstrations, and client visits.
  • Promoting and selling greases and lubricants to new and existing customers in assigned territories.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, mechanics, fleet operators, and industrial clients.
  • Providing technical advice and product recommendations to customers where necessary.
  • Ensuring excellent after-sales service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills as Greases and Lubricants Sales Representative 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in automotive, industrial, or lubricants sectors
  • Strong understanding of industrial greases and oil products is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Good problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.

  • New customer acquisition rate.
  • Sales volume and revenue targets achieved.
  • Customer retention rate and account growth
