Echo Network Africa (ENA) formerly Kenya Women Holding (KWH) is a national institution founded in 1982 as a woman led, women serving development institution that works with other like-minded stakeholders to empower, position and advocate for women especially in the area of women’s financial inclusion. The organization was re-branded in 2018 to reflect the changed mandate of the institution from an implementer to a Catalyst for Development in Africa and to accelerate attainment of results, broaden scoop and impact women and their families.
The Positioning & Democracy Program works in partnership with the Democracy Trust Fund (DTF) to catalyse results in ENA’s political initiatives aimed at contributing towards bridging gender gaps in leadership by increasing the number of women in decision making spaces at all levels.

Key Objective of the Job:
The successful candidate will support production and distribution of Information, Communication and Education (IEC) Materials for the CHAGUA AMANI, CHAGUA MAMA Campaign.


1. Specific Tasks
i. Oversee production and distribution of Campaign IEC Materials to boost the CHAGUA MAMA Campaign
ii. In liaison with other Focus Areas at ENA and DTF, prepare the launch of the distribution of the CHAGUA MAMA Campaign
iii. Respond to queries related to the CHAGUA MAMA Campaign
iv. Support and participate in activities to promote the CHAGUA MAMA Campaign


2. Key Performance Indicators
i. Quality IEC Materials Produced
ii. Successful launch of the Campaign Materials
3. The Job will be for a period of Two Months effective 6th July to 30th August 2022.“


4. QUALIFICATIONS
(Candidates with any or a combination of the qualifications listed below can apply)
 Bachelors of Education ( B. Ed) or any other Degree in Social Sciences/Humanities/Political Science
 Diploma or Degree in Communications/Public Relations will be and added advantage.
 Gender Related Studies


Required Skills/Qualities
 Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
 Experience and ability to coordinate diverse Groups of people
 Ability to plan and manage complex events
 Ability to work with diverse media
 Ability to read reports critically and assess through a gender lens
 Attention to detail
 Grassroot mobilization skills
 Ability to work independently with little supervision
 Strong administrative skills
 Computer literacy
 Excellent Report writing skills


Experience/Track Record
 At least Five Years working with either a Women/Girls Rights organization or Civil Society
 Experience working with women at national or County levels
Remuneration ENA will pay a sum of Ksh 70,000.00 ( Seventy Thousand ) only which will be subject to withholding tax as required by the law. The Job Holder will not be entitled to any other compensation whatsoever.


Reporting Hours
This is a full-time job which will demand the Job Holder to Report to the ENA Office Daily from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm. However, the holder may be called upon to work extra hours as the job may demand.


CONFIDENTIALITY
The job holder will accept the terms and conditions contained in the contract document and will be required to keep in confidence any information or documents that come to his/her possession during the time of engagement with ENA. Additionally, the Job Holder will commit to abide by all the institution’s policies, including the disciplinary and grievances policies and policies on business conduct, health and safety, confidentiality and dignity at work as stipulated in the Institution’s policy Manuals.
